Updates.

Life has been calm lately. Calm and normal, which I like.

Running has become a normal sort of thing that I look forward to. This morning, I ran four miles. It is a monumental first for me. It took 52 minutes, which I think isn't too bad, but I'm not really sure. Dustin would say it's terrible, my nice friends would probably say it's awesome. Whatever, I think it's fun.

I might try to go vegetarian for a week. I always used to say I never could, but lately, I've been having full vegetarian days without even realizing it, mostly just because I've been trying to eat leftovers or didn't have any meat readily available. Black beans are one of my new favorite foods. Black beans and rice, black bean soup, black bean chili, etc. Oh, and sweet potatoes. It'd be interesting, maybe.

I visited Jacksonville last week. It was alot of fun.

I'll be in Deland again soon.

There's just not alot going on lately.

Having been lost up here in NC and consumed by my work and homework, I've neglected to keep up with your blog. So for that, I'm sorry!! I've just read all your posts again, and it looks like you've been busy! Congrats on your running. I told you it would get easier. You're doing great. It doesn't matter how long it took you. You did it. You finished. Better run times will come. For now, just enjoy the level of fitness you've reached so far. It's great!

I'm glad to know you're holding up even after Leah has gone. I definitely feel the absence of friendship being so far and so isolated. The one thing I always remember, though, is that your best friend can be a best friend no matter how far. I haven't lived near my best friend since 2008. So now all the distance means is a chance to go on vacation; to explore new places halfway between A and B together. I know that you and Leah and your men will have chances to spend quality time together over the years to come that will mean so much more than any movie night or dinner party you guys have shared in the past. At least that's how it is for me. :)

Again, great work on your fitness. It's inspiring and motivating! Keep it up!

Always,
S

Hello Andrea,

It's incredible how quickly life can get boring and slow once you have a job that consumes your time/energy. Although I have had some exciting experiences lately, we are very much aware that we have no friends. It's nice that Daniel and I are becoming even better friends with each other, but spouses need more than each other to survive.

Thank you for your kind words, Samantha. Andrea and I should go on adventures together in like, South Carolina or something.
