The Anything Blog

Well, we have no more chapters in the book to blog on, so we are instructed to blog on anything.

I learned alot from this class taht I think can help me in the future, especially learning about powerpoint, since I knew very little about that originally.

I thought Mr. Gentile was a good teacher, but a lot of his teaching was talking, which was difficult for me, since I'm not auditory. Also, he focused mostly on elementary education and people that were more right-brained. Not many of the assignments or lessons seemed geared towards left brained thinkers. Well, maybe the Excel one. And Inspiration just wasn't my type of program. He went on many interesting tangents, though. I learned a lot of random stuff about computers that I woudn't have otherwise known, like uploading files to websites, resizing pictures, blogs, and just general info about computers of which I wasn't aware. Also, I really liked the gradebook software. He was also funny and entertaining, and kept my attention most of the time. Overall, I enjoyed his class, and would recommend friends to take his classes.

My future goals include being a math teacher. Excel can help with taht; I remember in my calc class graphing functinos on excel. I'll probably try to use programs like Inspiration and see if I can somehow help out all of the right-brained people. I really enjoyed the powerpoint quizzes, and look forward to using those.
